OEM production flow

We carry out integrated production from raw materials to finished leather, wallets and other leather accessories. We can offer various proposals to meet the needs of our customers. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact us.

Request

First, please let us know by phone or email about your general idea of the fish you are looking for, such as its species, color, and purpose.

We also accept requests for small-lot production and for processing of brought-in fish skin, so please feel free to contact us.

*Please note that we may not be able to accommodate some requests depending on the type of fish.

*Fish skin processing means that we process the fish skin we receive into leather (fish leather) and deliver it to you.

Consultation and Estimate

We conduct meetings primarily via email to detail the specifications of the fish leather. We will estimate the approximate unit price based on these specifications. *Please use email for correspondence as much as possible to keep a record of the details.

Deposit

For your first order, we ask for payment before delivery. We will inform you of the invoice amount after the delivery quantity has been decided.

Sample Production

For fish species and colors not handled by our company, we conduct experiments and color adjustments to create and ship sample products (which may be chargeable).

For the fish leather that we handle, we can send sample products (for a fee)

Production

After you have confirmed the sample, we will move on to production.

It will take about 1 to 3 months for production.

*Please note that depending on the type of fish you are looking for, it may take some time.

Delivery and confirmation

We will ship and deliver the product to you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

We have collected frequently asked questions from our customers and have posted some of them as Frequently Asked Questions. We have posted all kinds of information to answer a wide range of questions about Ocean Leather For Business, but you may not be able to find the question you are looking for. In that case, please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to guide you.

​Q. What kind of fish leather do you produce?

A. ​We handle the following fish species. (as of 2022)

  • sea bream

  • Yellowtail

  • salmon

  • Dolphinfish (mahi mahi)

  • Tuna

  • sturgeon

Q. Can you handle fish species that are not available?

A.Yes. We will do our best to accommodate fish species that we do not carry. However, depending on the type of fish, we may have to conduct experiments, so it may take a while.

Q. What is the minimum lot?

A. Basically, we accept orders starting from 10 pieces.
Small fish species such as horse mackerel and pufferfish will cost 30 pieces or more.

Q. What color lineup is available?

A. The colors listed on the online shop page are the colors currently available at our company.
If we don't have the color you want, we will create a matching color for you.
