Doesn't it smell fishy?

It doesn't smell. To eliminate the fishy odor, fish leather is manufactured using a processing method similar to that of cowhide, removing the fat that causes the odor during processing. As a result, the smell is almost the same as regular leather products.

How strong is it?

Fish leather is stronger than cowhide. The secret is that it has a special structure called crosshatch fibers, in which each fiber is intricately intertwined, allowing it to maintain strong strength even when it is thin.
*When cowhide and fish leather are made to the same thickness and pulled in a straight line.

How do you make it?

Fish leather is made by using vegetable tannin, an astringent ingredient found in plants such as tea and persimmons, to transform the skin into leather.

Is it water resistant?

Unfortunately it is not water resistant. As with general leather products, stains and blisters,
It may cause discoloration. If it comes into contact with water, please wipe it dry as soon as possible.

Will it change over time?

Like cowhide, it changes over time. We hope you enjoy using it while enjoying the change in the expression of the leather.

Please tell me how to take care of it.

It is said that leather is the same as the skin of living things. By caring for your fish leather products with leather oil, you can use them comfortably for a longer period of time. Each piece of leather has a unique scale pattern or a delicate leather taste, so as you use it, it will become unique to you.

How to care for leather
Please perform maintenance approximately twice a year.
